Barrier cable loses tension over time, and a car that hits it can damage the strand, the anchors or the column it runs through. A slack or corroded cable won’t hold when it has to.

We inspect existing barrier cable systems, retension cables that have gone slack, and replace strand and anchors that are damaged or corroded. Repairs follow the engineer’s direction, and we provide stressing records when we’re done.

Common repairs

  • Slack cable. Retensioned to the design force.
  • Vehicle impact damage. Damaged strand and anchors replaced.
  • Corrosion. Rusted strand and anchors replaced, common in older and coastal garages.
  • Missing or cut cables. Replaced and restressed.

We respond quickly to assess barrier cable and other PT-related concerns.
